A special congratulations to Mitchell.  The School Social Workers Association of Arizona (SSWAAZ) has acknowledged and commended our dedicated Ombudsman Arizona Charter Social Worker, Mitchell Roush.  He was distinguished for his instrumental role in the initiation of the Studio Leadership Program – Voicing Empowerment.  This prestigious award facilitated the acquisition of essential music studio equipment for our students.  This achievement not only broadens our collaboration with external organizations, but also cultivates environments for our students to explore their creative expression and gain practical experience in music production.  WAY TO GO MITCHELL!

DeWayne at the ChanceLight campus at Rossier Park High School in Buena Park California has been working in the educational field for almost 25 years. DeWayne commented that his “proudest moment as a Special Education teacher is whenever one of his students can transition back into a general education setting. Students in Special Education have completely bought into the concept that they can’t succeed in general education and to change their self-respective on themselves and their abilities is the best feeling in the world. That light in their eyes, and their parents’ eyes, when they succeed in this once thought of as impossible setting, is why I enjoy every day I teach.”

Congratulations to Lisa Schiesher on being with ChanceLight for 22 years.  While Lisa has held various roles, she’s always been a part of the data world. As ChanceLight’s Director of Data and Reporting, she has been integral in the design, development, and roll out of our ChanceLight Information System, working across departments and sites to ensure that processes are in place and there is integrity in the data.  We are so lucky to have Lisa be a part of our team. Thank you for all you do, Lisa! You are truly a ChanceLight Champion!

Chandra has worked in Special Education for over 6 years. When asked why she chose a career in Special Education, she answered “to make a difference for those students who have additional needs. I wanted to provide the tools and a foundation that would support them in accomplishing the things they pursue in life.”
