Burgess, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), has provided ABA services since 1996. She joined EAP in 1997 and most recently served as Low Country Regional Coordinator, a position in which she provided program development, training and supervisory services for families and school districts in South Carolina.
“Stephanie’s extensive ABA training and years of experience working with children have made her a tremendous resource to children and young adults with autism spectrum and related disorders and to their families,” said EAP co-founder Ann Eldridge. “Stephanie will provide EAP’s Charleston families the support, education and training that will make the greatest possible positive impact on the lives of their children.”
Before she joined EAP, Burgess was director of a Supervised Independent Living Program for foster children. She is a certified ESL (English as a Second Language) provider and a certified provider for Fast ForWord, an online reading intervention program. She earned undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology, and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of South Carolina.
