Some of the top names in the entrepreneurial game in the southeast were recognized last week. Business services power player, Ernst & Young, chose a handful of compelling operators to honor from companies based in the region. Below are recipients of the Ernst & Young honors in various categories.

Deal of the Year:
David Cummings, CEO Atlanta Tech Village/Kevy (former CEO of Pardot). Atlanta Tech Village is a coworking space and incubator hat provides services to technology and technology-related companies. Kevy I s producer of cloud connectors and Pardot is a B2B marketing automation firm.

Technology:
John Marshall, founder and CEO of AirWatch. Marshall’s Georgia-based company focuses on the management of mobile devices, mobile applications and Mobile Content. It has over 7,000 customers worldwide and, according to Crunchbase, has raised $225 million in funding this year from Insight Venture Partners, whose other investments have included Twitter, Tumblr, Fanatics and Indiegogo.

Healthcare and Life Sciences:
Michael Cartwright, Chairman, American Addiction Centers. Cartwright helms a nationwide behavioral healthcare provider focused on the treatment and rehabilitation of addiction. He has 20 years of behavioral science experience and has participated in 15 federally funded research studies on dual diagnosis and addiction.

Innovation:
David Morken, CEO and Co-Founder, Bandwidth.com. Bandwidth is a telecom company with over 500 wholesale customers and thousands of enterprise accounts. Morken, an adventurer, has attempted to swim the English Channel in 2011 and race across America in 2010 (for some reason).

Leadership:
S. David Passman III, CEO, Carmike Cinemas, Inc.:Carmike Cinemas is the fourth largest motion picture exhibitor in the United States serving primarily mid-size non-urban communities. As of December 31, 2012, Carmike operated 249 theatres in 35 states.

Services:
Susan A. Butler, Executive Director of Administrative Services, and Ann Eldridge, Executive Director of Clinical Services, Early Autism Project, Inc. provider of home-, clinic- and school-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children who have autism and are aged 20 months to 21 years.

Social Responsibility:
Dr. Albert J. Siemens, Chairman and CEO, FHI 360: A nonprofit human development organization dedicated to improving live in health, education, nutrition, environment, economic development, civil society, gender equality, youth, research and technology.

Retail and Consumer Products:
David Scheible, President and CEO, Graphic Packaging International, Inc. A Packaging firm and the world’s largest manufacturer of folding cartons.

Transportation:
Monica Wooden, CEO and Co-Founder, MercuryGate International. A cloud-based transportation management system that enable shippers and logistics service providers to manage multimodal shipments from any origin to any destination in the world.

Business and Consumer Services:
Jay Faison, Founder and Chairman, SnapAV. A manufacturer and distributor) B2B supplier of audio/video accessories to the Home AV, Security, Commercial AV and IT/DataCom markets.

Family Business Award:
C. Gray Wheeler, President, Yale Carolinas Inc. provider of material handling products and services carrying a full line of industrial equipment and allied products with focus on new and used sales, leasing, rental forklifts, parts, material handling equipment service and fleet management.
