Three Nashville entrepreneurs were honored Thursday night at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for the Southeast Region.
Christopher Holden of Amsurg, Robert Frist Jr., CEO of HealthStream and Mark Claypool, CEO of ChanceLight were honored at the 30th annual award ceremony held at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Of the hundred or so semifinalists, three of the nine winners were from Nashville.
“This year’s dynamic leaders have turned their vision into reality, making impressive contributions to their communities and impacting those around them,” Brad Duncan, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year program principal, said in a statement.
Holden and Frist were honored for their contributions to the health-care industry, while Claypool received his distinction in Social Responsibility.
“They had a clear leadership presences, a real sense of strategic direction for their companies and the clarity to get themselves there,” said Michael Burcham, judge and founder of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.
The Nashville winners are now eligible for consideration in the EY national award program, with winners announced in November.
